Thanks for the replies. I lock the tailgate when I secure the truck, so no big deal there, but I’ll have dealer fix the weatherstrip.

It's a bit more work to start and drive a vehicle than coding into it.

Most common is to catch your RF while locking up, it's harder to spot suspicious activity in crowded areas, but it's also known that they will scan RF when you get back to your vehicle, and trail you to find out where you live.

I haven't always of course, but am fortunate enough to currently, and really appreciate, having a garage to park in, and also living in a residential neighborhood with houses only, on a no outlet street that's kind of long, so it's easy to tell who does and doesn't belong there and somebody trying to tail me to the vicinity of my house would be pretty obvious, and would also be caught on multiple cameras if we went as far as the street in front of the house.

Probably anybody and everybody that lives anywhere with a decent population, anywhere urban for sure and probably most suburban areas, has these things to worry about. Nowhere is immune. Get enough people, get enough population density, these problems are going to be there. People are people, and the more there are the easier it is to blend in/fade away

Maybe a weeks worth with enough left over to buy a screwdriver "key" to defeat those pesky hose clamps.

LOL... at the upper end of the cost scale, you're spending $700/wk on meth, better sell that $1000 tailgate on Thiefslist. At the lower end, about $250/wk, you might get through until Monday selling to a chop shop.
