Default Is there a volt meter?

Ok, I may be going crazy, but recently I had some battery trouble, so I was looking for a volt meter on the instrument cluster. But, I'll be damned if I could find one. I checked all the menus and sub-menus, but nada. I have an XLT, but my Instrument Cluster is a @Boostedgreygoose custom mod, out of a Lariat. So, am I crazy? I could swear I've seen one. A little help, please! BTW, battery issue is resolved, but now I'm on a mission!

2018? No, there is no volt gauge unless you count the voltage readout in the engineering mode. You must perform a specific set of functions to get into engineering mode each key cycle.

Note that battery voltage will vary and change under normal conditions as these vehicles use a smart charging system, which can reduce charging voltage output from the alternator for fuel economy reasons.

I added one with a power point volt meter. It was about $10 on Amazon. My ‘15 2.7 shows 12.2 off, and 14.2-14.9 with the engine running, but my current sensor is disconnected due auto stop/start issues.

I don’t want to hijack your post, but i would like to know how to add a separate volt meter gauge close to the dashboard.
I have a 2020 F150 with the 5.0 engine. Gus Mahn mentioned purchasing one from Amazon, but didn’t say how to wire it or where it is mounted.

You could do one of these kind of gauge pods... they're the only ones that don't like complete trash.

or this...

Wiring is easy... most voltmeters are ground wire and a hot wire from any 12 volt source.

You could use the
to run a voltage meter. KM

NOTE:
A voltmeter will show a difference of 2 to 3 tenths of a volt between direct connection off the Battery source and through the BCM due to drop through the BCM.
Trick is to interpret the readings vs the conditions at any given time.
Example;
Just after cranking the voltage may be higher to re-charge the Battery depending on Battery age, condition and Temperature. The voltage also has to supply the rest of the vehicle loads at the same time. You can't really tell the difference between them by just looking at a voltmeter reading.
Voltage drop amount during cranking is telling about the State Of Charge and condition of the Battery >>at that time and over each time observed.
etc.
Good luck.

Try engineering mode, a plug-in power adapter with a built-in volt meter, or an ODB dongle.

Replaced me coin holder with a similar hard-wired voltmeter.
