Default Is there a setting to activate towing mode.

Interestng deal today. Have just had my Lariat for a week now and hooked up my utility trailer. Round 7 plug s its over 3,000 pounds. So checking my dash there is no recognition that I'm hooked to a trailer. Checked the lights and no power to the trailer lights.

By chance is there some setting somewhere that turns on the trailer deal. I cant believe that there would be and no power to the lights. Cant believe that.

Do you have a tow button on the left side of the shifter handle?

The truck should have recognized that there was a trailer hooked up. Something is not working right.

Yeah definetly something not right there. I just had my brother in laws utility trailer hooked up 7 pin harness and it saw the trailer including a left brake light lamp fault. It even said something about electric brakes not detected if I remember correctly.

Used to be a fuse and relay you maybe had to install. Usually found in the glove box.
But don't know if that's the case with the 2015s

Maybe I've also got something wrong, but on my '12, I have to use the menus to turn on trailer modes. I'll admit I don't have the integrated trailer brake controller (wish I did) so that may be part of it. Without a trailer, I can't even turn on the trailer mode though, so the computer has to be recognizing that something is there.

As the previous poster indicated, I did have to install the fuse and relay.

It might be time to get your dealership to take a look, Cdestuck. How many miles are on it?

Several reports on the forum of a dicey electrical connection at the plug receptacle. Be sure the plug is pushed in all the way--really jam it in there. In my case, the trailer brakes don't work if the plug is inserted with what one would consider normal force while everything else does.
