Talk me out of buying a Ram BigHorn instead of 2016 XLT?

Having owned a 2014 Ram Crew and a 2015 Ford Supercrew, it's a toss up. I can see out of the Ford much better. It also has better, much better fuel economy. 5.7 versus the 5.0. I do have better features in my Ford, but you can spec a Ram just the same. In two years my Ram only went to the dealer for 2 oil changes and recall that required reporgramming to correct the outside temp. I had zero dash "shake". It rode quite well. As does my Ford. My Ford on the other hand, had the rear axle painted since it was only partially done at the factory. It has been in for the drivers side door twice. Still not resolved. It has a dash squeak in the summer that has not been fixed. I also had incorrectly sealed cab panels under the rear window. It was allowing water to come into the cab, soaked the carpet and caused it to get moldy. It had to have the bed removed to fix the cab and it received a new interior carpet. My point is that the knock to Ram's quality is not deserving in my experience. Had I bought my Ram with the 8 spd tranny, I'd still have it.
I plan to trade out of my Ford in a year, I'm hoping the door issue and minor quality issues of the first year model are resolved as I do like my truck. It just has more issues than I care for.

Either way...I think everyone on this forum needs to understand that they bought a truck...first year, brand new from the bottom up (including the manufacturing processes) and they're surprised when they have quirky issues. I was...and then I realized I made a choice to buy a USED first year truck after someone put 24K on it and dumped it bottom dollar (even though I didn't know that at the time). At the end of the day, it wasn't a wise purchasing decision on my part...and I'll be honest...buying a 2016 might not be either. But the same rule applies to every truck brand on the market...first year production models have issues...powertrain, cosmetic, fit & finish, etc.
It's the powertrain issues that people should be concerned about...the rest is just icing on the cake. Unfortunately, most RAMs, Chevy/GMC's have most of the same quirks...multiple years after their 1st full year of production. I'm not saying Ford is any better, but you can't really say a whole lot about a vehicles overall quality and reliability until the current generation is a few years in.

Thanks, I haven't had a red vehicle since 1989 but I couldn't keep my eyes off the ruby red trucks when I was at the dealer, so I pulled the trigger. White is a good color as well and always looks clean.
