buy what you want, both good vehicles.

Had a Dodge Intrepid as my issued police car (was a Detective). Broke down at least once a month. Had it towed out of my driveway numerous times. I'll never buy a Dodge. Everything felt cheap on it. Haven't ever gotten over it.

My feelings exactly. I had a 2014 Ram as a rental for a little better than a week when my 2012 Screw was in the body shop. I hated it, everything felt like cheap plastic on the interior, if you can understand what I mean? I took my wife's Edge and left her the Ram, she drove it to work and absolutely hated it. She thought it looked nice, but said it felt cheap.

My buddy has a RAM Rebel and it's a damned nice truck. He's had no issues with it.
I considered getting one, but instead ordered a 2016 Lariat with 502a package as I really enjoyed my 2010 F150 that I just traded in.

You drive a Ford now, how's it been? Do you have a good relationship with your Ford dealer? I personally prefer the look of the Ford truck. The styling to me is better but RAM is due for a refresh. Flat rear floor on the Ford is important to some also.

i sat in a Yellow Stinger Edition of some sort yesterday, as well as a Laramie 3500 dually. I gotta say, other than the stupid shifter ****, the 1500's interior was at least as nice as my '13 Lariat. I was impressed!
I haven't driven either though, so do that and let us know what you pick
oh, and we had a Dodge rental a few weeks ago, their Nav is metric-light-years better than Stync 2

When faced with this type of question, I usually tell the person to buy what they want me to talk them out of. That way, if there is any problem with the Ford, the other person can't hold it against me.
So, buy the Ram.

I would be willing to bet you can get the ram for significantly cheaper for a comparable truck.
Bigger incentives and lower starting price.
If payload doesnt bother you too much, the Rams are nice trucks.
