No issues up to now.

 

Mine just spits the plastic trim off when you open it too quick

 

that sucks. mine just squeaks a lot while driving. annoying....

 

Mine does not sit flush. The dealer should be replacing it next week.

 

My previous tailgate step was sitting flush and stayed as it should be. However, it pop up about less than of an inch sometimes during bumps but did not create a noise. Only, I can always see in the rear view mirror.

 

Mine will sometimes pop up, but this is better than the original problem of the button not working. That I had when the truck was new. Dealer replaced the step on my third trip in to get it fixed which was a bigger problem than finding the step not latched. So I'm living with this. Having a cap I don't notice it's up till opening the cap.
