Tailgate recall

2018 xlt with tailgate step.. I got one too. Mine did fly open a few weeks ago but it was my fault. My Bakflip was froxen to the top of the tailgate and I tried to open it unsuccessfully. I pushed on the tailgate to try and latch it back but it didn't. When the sun eventually thawed out the ice between the cover and tailgate it came open. Fortunately nothing to blow or fly out so all is well..
My build date is October 2018. My F-150 was at the dealership back in May '21 for warranty service and my service advisor told me there was a recall for "unintended tailgate opening" way back then. I had no idea it was a recall, nor had I ever had a problem with the tailgate. They did the tailgate recall work for me at that time. This is what my service records say:
Installed LL3Z 14A411 D :WIRE ASY - JUMPER Qty: 1
Installed GB5Z 9C888 A :SWITCH ASY - STEERING WHEE Qty: 1
Replaced Tailgate switch and performed wiring harness modification procedure and verified proper tailgate operation after performing repairs.

I went yo my local dealer yesterday. Left the truck there all day and when i got there at 16h30 before closure, they had forgotten about th work to be done on my truck.
So they took it in and 10 minutes later they come back with the keys stating that my truck passed the inspection and does not need new parts. The letter is very specific about the part replacement and half of day of work and does not mention any inspection.
I contacted ford canada by chat and they were fairly clueless as usual. Has anyone ran into that situation or you all got the new parts? My tailgate did open once on the highway.
