Default Tailgate Light Bars

I'm starting to research tailgate light bars for my 2016 Platinum. Anybody have any suggestions? Manufacturer's you'd recommend, or stay away from? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Post some pics of yours, if you have one you're happy with. THANKS!!!!

Pretty sure there's nothing out there that can beat the Putco blade.

I am looking for the same thing - the Putco Blade also seems to be the best for the $. Question for y'all - About 12 inches from the right side of my tailgate, to the left of the right side hinge, is a black metal guide looking thing that blocks installation of any light like the blade. Any ideas on what that may be, and if I can remove it to put the Blade in? Thanks!

I solved that by getting the 48" blade instead of the 60" blade.

Remove it it is supposed to prevent the tailgate from moving when using the step. I used it all the time and removed it from new so have many others

Also did the Putco Blade, used 4 pcs aluminum tubing as spacers, installed with double sided tape, works fine. The bracket on the tailgate prevents the tailgate from sliding left possibly unlatching itself under load.

Just spent the last 2 days (well, it seemed like 2 days) installing an Opt7 60 inch bar on my '17 F350. What a pain in the A**!!
I spent many hours looking through other posts, and recommended wiring, suggestion on install, and things that might get in the way.
I am about to post another write up on the install, as out of all the one's I looked at, none had the same wiring that my truck had, and I had to pretty much "guess" which was which.

As for the Tailgate hinge - I left mine on and mounted my light bar using the provided clips, and the just ran the light bar over the top of the hinge. Yes, it is slightly raised on the right side, but you can't even notice.
As for now, the Opt7 is hooked up and fully functional. I love the way it looks and lights up. Has the sequential turn signals, and a super bright reverse light as well which will come in real handy when backing in to some places as it just about lights up the world!!
