Tailgate issues

When I start my truck my tailgate pops open automatically. When I shut the truck off the tailgate also pops open automatically. Anyone have any ideas?

Dealer needs to fix that. Sounds like a short somewhere.

No fat fingering here. It's the weirdest thing ever. I've driven the truck for one year and 17000 miles without any problems. Now I can't drive the truck without the tailgate popping open regularly.

It's only doing it when starting the motor and shutting it off in side the truck? Never when hitting a bump?

Starting and shutting off the vehicle, when it's running it also opens. I can't get out of the garage without the tailgate opening. The only time it does not open is when the vehicle is off.

Sounds like you need to go visit your dealer..
