Default Tail lights cracking

Has anyone seen this before? I have a set of LED tail lights that have cracking on what appears to be the inside of the lens. Under normal lighting you can’t see them, but if you get the light right, they show up in large amounts. Is there any way to fix this as I’m not sure it is a surface scratch/crack. Thanks!

sorry for the picture quality. The scratches are too fine to be picked up on camera.... but you can still see them as a whole.

That's called crazing. Usually due to chemicals, heat and U/V exposure. Are these aftermarket? Not all plastics are the same.

those are aftermarket aren't they? i see this all the time, some aftermarket headlights/taillights are not very resistant to UV exposure

Aftermarket light lenses, I dont care what brand, Recon, Morimoto, Alpha Rex, all of them. Trash in just a year or 2. OEM is not perfect, but much better in terms of longevity.

My OEM tail lights are starting to crack like that. It's been 14 months since I bought the truck brand new.
I'll ask the dealer to replace them under warranty. Stock parts, early failure.

Exclamation Ford 150 Internal Headlight Light Cracks

[QUOTE=Kriispy;6775022]Has anyone seen this before? I have a set of LED tail lights that have cracking on what appears to be the inside of the lens. sorry for the picture quality. The scratches are too fine to be picked up on camera.... but you can still see them.

Our vehicle developed spider line cracks inside of the front head lights after a poor 30 mile service check. The dealership forgot to add the radiator cap which caused our vehicle to overheat. We noticed days later the cracks inside of the light ….Ford is refusing to cover the headlights replacement. The cracks from the overheating of the engine which they caused has cracked both headlights …further more, my bumper to bumper cover doesn’t cover their damage to my truck( imagine that). The replacement headlights cost is estimated at the thousands mark.
