Just picked up a 2016 XLT with Sync3. I see that some of the Sync3 systems have navigation, some don't. Is this an upgradable option?

Also, at one point my screen displayed climate controls, but I am unsure how I got that to display. I can't seem to get it to come up again.

I would love to know a bit more about the differences between the Sync3 with nav and without, and what the options are for the climate control.

Doesn't say 2016. The 2015 used the My Ford Touch (Shown in the photos on that site) while the 2016 uses Sync3.

The climate controlled is a glitch in the system, if you double tap both the A/C button and the recirculation button at the same time it will come up and the weird thing is that the controls work.

 

That makes a lot of sense as I believe it happened when I was wiping down the dash. Thanks!

 

Oh, and later this year (no one knows when) we are supposed to get an update so you can use android auto and apple carplay. So after that you will be able to use Google maps for navigation with your phone plugged in, that's assuming you have an android or apple phone.

 

I do have an Android phone, and that was kind of my thought too. I was just curious about the differences in the Sync3 Packages so far. I may hold out as the cost on that site listed above is extremely expensive for a small hardware upgrade.

Any other Sync3 tips that anyone can share about the versions currently in our trucks? I think I am on software revision 1.0, and it doesn't seem to have any updates available yet.
