Sync3 latest version?

Default Sync3 latest version?

I am having some issue with my Sync3 system (big surprise, huh?), truck was built in April. The screen shows it as version 1.0, build 15139.

Ford Tech support had me reset the module to correct the issues. Did it six times (power button and FFWD) and finally it did reset, but no changes, system still acts up. They then said talk to my dealer and get it re-booted.

Called dealer for appointment and he did a search on OASIS and found there is a new update out, numbered Vers. 1.1 but the info doesn't say anything about what it addresses.

Anyone know anything about this. I go to owner.ford.com and it shows I have the latest updates, dealer says there may be a different one but can't get any details on it

Anyone take delivery in the last few days? What's your version and build number on the Sync3 system?

Just got our '16 F150 SCREW night before last & going to shop in the morning to have them install integral brake controller, and will look up Sync3 info. Curious to see what version we have...

Not trying to side track the OP thread but please make sure they follow the directions outlined in SSM 45574. There have been numerous examples of the enable process performed by the dealer not being performed correctly - they miss the final step on 2016 vehicles. Some dealer tech's merely follow the instructions on the website without doing further research and they don't include the added final step required for 2016 vehicles. I have edited my copy of the instructions to include SSM 45574 and included it in this post for your convenience

what will happen if they don't follow the last step for the 2016?

I did check our Sync3 this morning, and it's identical to yours. I haven't run my VIN code to get our build date, but I'd say it's probably very close to yours.

I did a quick hook-up to the travel trailer and did the initial set-up for the trailer status, so we'll see what happens. I have to take it to the RV shop, and they're gonna double-check everything Tuesday. Hope it works as we have a trip planned to leave out on Friday morning.
