Default Sync3 - inserted USB device not responding? Edge S7

So I have a brand new Samsung USB cable. Trying to plug into the USB ports below the HVAC for my Sync3, 2017 F150. Every time I plug in my S7 Edge, it pulls up the "Inserted USB device is not responding" over and over and over and over and over and over again.

Even with it connected via Bluetooth, as long as the USB is plugged in to the port it does this.

I tried a brief search and saw something like a 'hard reset' of the truck might help...............help please!

I had a similar issue. Mine ended up being the USB micro connection going into the phone. I was using a Beats charging USB cable and it didn't work. Switched over to the one that came with my phone (S7 edge) and no issues since.

To verify the problem was the cable I was able to wiggle where it connected into the phone and get it to misbehave.

I tried to avoid this kind of issue by buying a brand new Samsung cable off amazon. The phone charges when it's connected this way...........but throws that stupid endless error on sync3.

Charging takes less pins than data. My phone charges perfect on the beats cable, but would not work with the truck (even worked with a PC)

My samsung cable had little spring loaded things on the sides that helped hold it in place.

I know. I don't mess with off-brand cables....which is why I don't understand why i'm having this problem with a Samsung cable!

Dude, I told you. It's weird. The Beats USB cable is nice, not a generic knock off. It should have worked.

No clue why it's like that. I just ended up switching them out and use the beats cable to hook up to my wireless charger in the house.

As a person who buys a lot of stuff from Amazon, including charging cables be aware that it may not be an actual Samsung cable. I've had that problem with Iphone cables not being what they said they were.
