Sync3 Bluetooth/Pandora Issues
I just bought a new 2016 F150 XLT Supercrew 4x4 Sport last week. The Sync system works great, other than slow response time with apps and constantly dropping Pandora, losing Bluetooth connection and forcing me to reinstall all my apps from my phone. I listen to Pandora constantly while driving and I'm having constant problems with it. I can't change channels, because the channels button mostly doesn't respond. It gives me the click sound that lets me know the button was pushed, but nothing happens. I can't skip songs...nothing happens. After multiple attempts, it seems to get confused and the app will close suddenly....over and over again. I have tried a system reset in the Sync system and also deleted the pairing on both my phone and the truck. After reinstalling it, same thing. This doesn't happen on my wife's Honda at all, so it isn't a phone issue. It also isn't a Pandora issue. I can use my Bluetooth speaker all over my house, on the golf cart, at the pool....it never drops or freezes. There is something going on with my vehicle. Any idea how to fix this? Is this a typical Sync3 issue, or is there a way to resolve this?
Just saw that. Thanks! I, at least, get to test whether it was the phone now. I dropped my phone last night and shattered the screen, so a new one will be paired today. If it happens with the new phone, I'll drop by the dealership to get it checked out.
Not according to the system. I connected it to my home wifi and it said it was up to date. Last update was late January 2016, presumably when it was built. Has there been a firmware update since January it may not be recognizing?
Hey everyone!
SYNC 3 is currently at version 1.0. I recommend turning on Automatic System Updates to stay current: http://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-t...ith-wi-fi.html
An update will be released later this year to introduce CarPlay and Android Auto: media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/fna/us/en/news/2016/01/04/sync-apple-carplay-android-auto.html
Keep me posted!
