NOT asking your salesperson and going off of a web site IS assuming. Sorry if you disagree.

In my experience, the "salesperson" in most dealerships (and most businesses for that matter), is not exactly a wealth of accurate information. That's why consumers use the internet to research their purchases before they go to the dealership.

"Going off a web site" provided by the manufacturer of the product, in this case a vehicle, is not "assuming" anything. It's expecting the reasonable; that the manufacturer will provide accurate information.

If a consumer can't rely on the manufacturer's website for accurate information about the product they produce and sell, then it's up to the manufacturer to fix the web site.

Sorry if you disagree.

Sorry if you disagree.
If you IGNORE the terms & conditions posted on an Internet web site, that's YOUR problem, not theirs.

Sorry if you disagree.

Agreed. We have had several customers confused by fords website as it possesses several inaccuracies. Hopefully they get this and the other errors corrected soon. I passed along your concern to our regional ford rep.

If you read all the way through the description of the My Touch option it also states that it is optional on the XLT and standard equipment on the Lariat and Platinum. They don't say any where there that it is not available on the XLT. So from what I (and also my salesperson agrees with me) read in the description was if you want the dual climate control as well as all the rest of the description is it came with the My Touch option.

When I noticed the build site showed Dual zone available on the XLT I was all set to change my order.
So the next time the little "Have a question, ask a specialist" pop up window appeared I asked. (I know, most just turn it off)
Imagine my disappointment when I had the answer I didn't want to hear in 15 seconds.

Perhaps people should spend more time researching and less time bitching about their ignorance.

I don't know what build site you used, when I ordered in November there was no "pop up window" And I know the dealer didn't have a "pop up window". So, back to square one. Oh, you do know some people don't have computers out there. And no pop up windows.

So when do you stop searching for the truth and believe you have all the correct info and not just false advertising? So what other false info does Ford have hidden under the rock of disclosure?

I agree that the website should be accurate, BUT

The only place that mentions the dual zone is the website, if you download the 2015 F150 brochure PDF, or have the printed hard copy of it BOTH make no mention of dual zone climate until lariat or above models. The 2015 printed product information brochure also makes no mention on dual zone until lariat or above. The 2015 owners manual which is downloadable also mentions that not all models with MFT have dual zone climate. Seems to me there are several places that show dual zone is not on the XLT and only one place that says it is on it.
