Sync Update

Default Sync Update

Two days ago my Sync updated. Two things I noticed off the bat are the fonts are slightly different and the steering wheel heat icon is there. Haven't had a chance yet to dive into the menus, are there any other changes?

go to the owners site and look at the changelog from whatever version you had to whatever you now have.

There is an update to ver. 3.0 that was recently released (JR3T-14G381-AM). I installed ver. 3.0 (JR3T-14G381-AL) when it was released last spring. I think I read on another thread in this forum that this new release fixes some Bluetooth issues. My iPhone doesn’t automatically connect when I start the truck about 1 time in 20 and I have to manually connect it when this happens.

I installed this update earlier this week via USB, which took less than 10 minutes. Time will tell if Bluetooth connection performance is improved.

Log onto https://owner.ford.com/ and pick “Support” from the menu, then “SYNC software updates”. It will que up the correct version for your truck (nav or non-nav).

I love my F150 but hate the Sync 3 system. I have been trying to update to 3.0 for months. Called Sync support and have done everything they told me and it still gives a MEM_ERR03 error. Now they tell me I have to go to a dealer and have it updated, which is $150. This is bull**** in my opinion.

Anyone else have this problem?

I have tried USB and WiFi. The WiFi stops with about 25% of the download left to go

R1ck, I get the MEM_ERR03 error also. I haven't contacted my local dealer yet. I will inquire about an update when I get a couple recalls addressed. I have tried updating via USB multiple times and ways; without success. Good luck to you!

I just had the 2 recalls done last week and had the dealer do a hard reset on the system per the Sync I do not give a F rep recommended. It did not work. Now they just keep referring me to the dealer who already told me it is $150 plus tax and that charge will be even if they cannot get it to up date. If I want it diagnosed it is an addition $150

I believe a number of people have had issues with the MEM_ERRO3 error. This thread talks about how to "fix" that issue.
