SYNC & text message notification

2018 f150 and iPhone 5s. Text connections seem to connect. I don't get many texts so I haven't been paying close attention. I did get a text this morning and noticed that when driving you only get the audio text and no read text option. I can understand that but then the problem is I went to listen to the text and it did not mute the radio. So then I muted the radio but the audio text was so low I could barely hear it. Is there a way to adjust the volume of the text readout?

That's just like mine. Some times texts connect perfectly, other times it doesn't. Can figure why it works right one time, and another it does not.
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!

Getting back to this thread .... I tried again with deleting my phone from Sync and removing Sync from my phone. Then went through the whole pair process again. It seemed to work. But just a few days after doing that, my phone crapped out. So since replacing my phone, everything is working as it should. So unfortunately, that doesn't really provide a solution to others having a similar problem.

I was going to say exactly that. On my ex Audi, connecting the phone via USB to charge it sent everything to hell, especially since I didn't opt to use Apple CarPlay. Now I use a USB port adapter on the 12V receptacle to charge my phone, and everything works perfectly. However, I haven't tried the text feature yet. I have the feeling would have to reset everytihng, but will try one of these days. What I need to do is a Sync master reset so the damn FordPass stops spying on me. Need to find where to do it, but probably from settings; will figure it out tomorrow. Hopefully that doesn't cut Wi-Fi. It shouldn't, right? Thx.
