Disconnect both of the battery cables for 15 minutes, then touch the positive and negative terminals together (supposedly drains off any retained charge in all of the modules) before reconnecting both cables to the battery. Maybe that will reset the stalled update.

Might try that tonight. I have already held down the power and forward button on the HU a few times to make it do a hard reset. No change from that.
When my SYNC got stuck during an over-the-air upgrade, I was told (during a chat session with Ford tech support) that if it did not correct itself, I would have to go to a dealer since this was not something the end user could fix.
Luckily, it eventually corrected itself (after a couple weeks, and after I made sure it was getting a better WIFI signal from my house). If it had persisted for a month, I'd have gone to the dealer.

Thanks for that info! That may be where I end up. Truck has a good connection to my high speed house wi-fi.
I just downloaded the complete update and put it on a USB stick. When I drive the truck later today I will plug in the stick and see if it can finish the update that way. If not, I may be off to the dealer.

They told me NOT to do that; if it's truly stuck, taking it to the dealer is the proper route. (I don't know what would happen if you try the USB stick, but they specifically said not to do that because I proposed that I might try it.)
Well, I tried the update via usb and nothing. Just didn't acknowledge that I even inserted the usb.
Stopped by my Ford dealer and they suggesting trying the disconnect battery and touch wires together trick. No luck with that either.
Looks like I will be needing a service appointment. Advisor said they are really backed up, but he can put my name in. No biggie. As long as it's just slow, I can wait till they can get it in.

Good luck and be sure to come back and let us know what it takes to fix it. Might help the next person with this problem.
