I just swapped out the 4" radio to the 8" touchscreen. While changing from the single usb to the double usb in the center console, the door got stuck and then what looks like a flat, thin coil spring went flying off. I'm not sure where it goes, but my sliding door is fully manual now.
Does anyone know where this thing belongs and how to put it back on?
Thanks for the pic Mike! I don't see that spring in the photo though, I have no idea where it came from when it flew off. It stretches out to about 6".
Ok that helps...Here is where it goes I think. This is looking at the bottom. This one is has some grease on it so it looks sort of funny. You are probably going to have to remove the console top trim panel to put it back in.
Oh ..It will stick and you have to force it a bit to make it work right if the part is tipped upside down, I though the Raptor CF one pictured above was broken at first. I force it open then closed and it started working fine. Tipped it upside down again and it stuck until I forced it closed and back open.
Does it actually connect to anything? I don't remember seeing the plastic piece either, hopefully its still there. I appreciate the help, I haven't found a thing about it on the web.
When you actuate the door it winds and unwinds. The white plastic piece snaps on and off. I didn't take it off because I don't know how hard it is to get it back on.
This one is has come grease on it so it looks sort of funny.
i chuckled rather loudly when i read that line while in bed. Loud enough it got me yelled at by sleeping beauty. My immature mind gets the best of me at times...
