Sync Connect? CarPlay update?

Yes, I still have sync voice command functionality. I used a Lexar(by Micron), 16GB USB stick and formatted it as Fat32. I did a full format, not a quick format. I don't know if it makes a difference but I did power off my SYNC 3/radio before I inserted the USB stick into the USB port, both times.

Thanks for replying but it`s not about figuring it out, it`s about the obvious problems that some people are having after the update.
Thats why I suggested the video.
A video would eliminate 99.9% of all of the questions about this unofficial update, part#`s, and problems during and after said update.

Do you have Nav or no Nav.
Recent post today of a member who updated and all was well but the next day not so much.

If you want to use sync instead and have you phone plugged in. Go into settings -> CarPlay and disable the car play. The phone will be connected to sync as an iPod and all of sync functions/Nav are available. You can always enable CarPlay later if you want to use it.

I just purchased at 2017 and it has a car connect modem which works with a app ford pass. I am not impressed with it at all. My Lexus RC F has something similar and it way better. I am more frustrated with the fact that Sirius Traffic is not working with SYNC 3 all other options are working.

One thing I'm happy about with the new update is when you turn on the massage seats the screen returns to the screen you were on instead of staying on the massage seat activation screen. Although when the seat deactivates on their own a message temporarily pops up on the screen.
I'm using Android Auto and there are definitely some bugs to work out, but it looks nice over-all. Hard to believe it took them almost 9 months to deliver on something that I was expecting when I received the truck (since I had saw the cool video Ford put out on YouTube).
If you choose a different font for your phone it shows up on the big touch screen. I like how the Google Navigation changes the zoom level automatically based upon your vehicle speed. If you're going fast it will zoom out and you can see a lot of the map, and then when you slow down it will zoom in and show you the street names as you get close to them.
Maybe if not already, we need to start a new thread discussing Android and Apple Sync 3.0 good and bad things?
