Well I clicked the Dropbox link and it has been shutdown because of too many visitors.. I have to take my truck in tomorrow for a Sync3 issue (Audio plays - screen shows its off) and see if they can do the update as well.

Same thing here after updating from 1.0 to 2.2. I HATE the way Sync handles the ringer volume now. One workaround is to change your sound settings in the iPhone so that the side buttons don't control the ringer (side buttons will then only control the media volume). A very lousy way to get around the new Sync update. If I had known about this, I wouldn't have updated.
My favorite is the blue screen when connecting the phone before starting the truck.
Looks like they don't have good control of the team they outsourced this to... Here's to hoping they sort it out before releasing the official update(s).

FYI unfortunately also standard behavior in a factory 2.0 2017. This along with freezing when selecting maps from the home screen, freezing when a route is pre-loaded using the phone and connected, sometimes going to now playing when selecting audio from the sync homescreen with carplay connected but also randomly going to audio source selection from the same screen.

To be honest I think the head unit is more reliable than the late model Toyota I traded in on it. That thing used to try and take me on the off ramps as well as rebooting on the daily. Also used to tell me to turn right when it meant left. As soon as you throw cutting edge tech into the equation you have to expect issues. They build these things to a budget after all.

Consumer Reports drinks their own bath water. The 150 is ground breaking in its technology, including aluminum and the EcoBoost 2.7 While the Tundra is a solid truck, it is old and tired. Made by a company that screwed up not one, but TWO, generations of Tacomas with their frame rot issue. The new Tacoma is a tired rehash of the last generation of Tacoma with basically the same truck, and a smaller and not groundbreaking engine. CR pretty much trashes that truck. You couldn't pay me to trade my '16 150 for a '16 Tacoma.

I have to disagree with this statement strenuously. Yes, Ford has really messed up the releasing of the Sync 3 Car Play update. I love my iPhone but not having Car Play is no reason to trash my truck.
