Sync basic system update
That's weird... I did a little researching for you, and if you have Wifi within range of your truck, this may be an option.

Best way to figure it out is make an account and then try to register your vehicle. I would be very surprised if they had a different website for Canadian vehicles considering we are so close and both speak English.
As far as I know, if your truck does not come with Navigation, you cannot add it later on as an update to Sync. The only way to possibly add Navigation is to buy one of the kits from a third party that "unlocks" the feature.

can you explain in more detail about the third party kits?
Of course. There are systems like this, http://www.oemautopartsco.com/collec...gation-upgrade, which allow you to take a non-navigation MFT system *it's very important you already have the 8" screen*, and activate the navigation.
For some reason, Ford won't do this but this is one of the ways that you can have navigation yourself. They even have a how-to video which makes it seem pretty simple.
