Sync 4.2 to 8 sync 3
Hey guys,
Anyone else make harnesses for the sync 1 4.2 screen to the sync 3 8 screen? I dont plan on giving 4dtech any money any time soon. I need the harness and the adaptor for the oem camera. If I understand correctly, the AppleCar play and android auto should work with this new harness.
Other than that I just need the screen, the module, the bezel, and the double USB hub. I have forscan and my MX already for the programming. I have a bead on the above for a great deal.
This forum is awesome and would rather one of you get my money. Im from Canada and understand shipping will be another thing to consider.

If you have a 2015-2017, you can repin the current wire harness yourself after buying the correct connectors. Then there are two connections to solder. Easier and cleaner than making a conversion harness, I think. If you have a 2018, no conversion harness or repinning is necessary from what I hear. Mostly plug and play.

As TexasFording notes, it's tedious work - just go slow and pin by pin if you decide to make one yourself or keep an eye on the classifieds.
