I must have gotten lucky. Mine works fine. It'll be nice as a backup but I plan to continue to use the Sync Navigation for now.

 

With Android Auto mine worked flawless. Google maps, Waze, speak to text, all of it. Very impressed!!

 

I replaced my 2015 Mytouch with the Synch 3 system but the Ford Owners site shows my truck with Mytouch so it won't allow me to get the Synch 3 upgrade so I can get access to the Waze feature. Anyone know a work around? Since I have to register with the VIN it only sees the Mytouch system? I'm currently on Synch 3 Version 2.2

 

Works flawlessly for me. Make sure your Sync is up to date.

 

I'd love to use it but can't get Sync to update to 3.

 

Android auto works great for me. I use Google maps or Waze nearly every day in Houston traffic. Even the speech text messaging works and rarely ever misses what I'm saying.
