Sync 3 version 3.0 update problem
Good afternoon,
I am Sly from Virginia, have a 2016 Ford F150 lariat 2.7L V6.
i need help i been trying to update my software on my f150 to version 3.0 v USb. it keep stop and say the follow message.
invalid or unsiged file, your installation package may have corrupted the package signature may have failed or the signature may have been revoke. please help

Depending on where you got the update, you may need to download it again and try on a new USB drive. You need to unzip the files to your hard drive and copy them to the USB, don't unzip them directly to the USB.

UofMEngineer is a Ford software engineer and knows his stuff. I tried for weeks on end to get mine to update using every trick I read about, USB, WiFi, you name it with no luck. Gave him my autoinstall.lst then followed his instructions and the update worked like a charm.

Sync 3 in my 2018 has failed again after warranty repair on extended warranty
The dealer told me today FORD is not warranty of sync 3 and replace is only a temporary fix. It will happen again and again. I will not buy another FORD VEHICLE because of the SYNC issues and Ford not supporting these defective systems.

you dug up an almost 5 year old post......sync 3 is covered under the warranty and ESP if you bought the correct one

The unit was replaced under warranty once and after 20000 miles the unit is failing again I have 102000 miles now and my original extended warranty stopped at 100000 miles, the warranty cost over $2000.00. Now the dealer wants another $1500 to replace failing unit, again Ford has a known problem and won’t cover unit even though replaced about a year ago. Why would I have it replaced as FORD has faulty equipment and not supporting. DO NOT BUY A FORD with Sync system they do not support other than replacing with the same faulty equipment
