I'm running 3.0 in my 2018 platinum, zero issues

NOT youll probably get a scare though (this happened to me), after the update I decided to do a Master Reset just to make sure things were clean, screen stayed black for roughly 30-40 minutes but came back.

After the update things just worked fine (maps will take 15-20 to come back).

So plan an hour or two where you wont really be using it

 

Try it without the ipod plugged in. im wondering if it is cataloging the ipod on start up. I'd wait until Sync is booted then plug in the ipod.

 

Nothing was connected

Could still hear radio, could switch Media Sources, screen just stayed black for a bit and kicked in. Nothing to be concerned with I'm sure and it was fine

 

If you have a problem, you are screwed. I have seen the 3.0,but have yet to come across of release note that explain what it fixes and enhancements.
With that said, I did install the 2.1 when it was pulled from the ford site. It wasn’t beta, at the time. I would only go down the path of the beta if somebody has posted a way to down grade to a valid release. I haven’t seen that yet.
