compatibility fixes for IOS and "general fixes and improvements", not a whole lot

 

Do you need the dealer to update? I see the truck can connect to WIFI, I connected the truck to my phone (hotspot) and then selected UPDATE. After a lot of time, I get a message that the truck failed to connect, something like that.

I wanted to connect to WIFI and then check for updates and let the system update itself. Is this correct?

what is the reason for wanting to go from 2.0 to 2.2 ? If its CarPlay for apple you don't need to but you do need to change the usb.

 

If you have nav and subscribe to Sirius traffic, you need v.2.2. Traffic doesn't work with v.2.0.

 

Wrong. That depends on the ACM. I had it running with 1.0, 2.0 and now running on 2.2

 

It an issue on 2017s. V2.0 did not work on mine. I read plenty of posts on this forum about the issue. So I upgraded.

I did notice the OP has a 2016 so maybe it's not an issue for him.
