Sync will not know there is an update. You need to check on the owners website under your VIN and see if there is an update. Then down load it and install it. The WiFi part of this from Ford is not working. Which as far I am concerned is a good thing.

One more time, I'm not trying to do the update via wifi. Please read my question. I know the update isn't available via wifi.

We get it...however, the answer remains the same...IT WILL NOT WORK. Checking for an update, via WiFi, is not a working option.

Worked for me yesterday. But I’ve already got 3.0.

Downloaded to 32gb flash drive and it just will not update. Keep getting an error message and have tried to re-download the file from the site 5 times with same error.

Same for me.
However I only have access via ATT cellular and many FMCO sites simply will not load.
