sync 3 call issue
I recently bought my 2019 XLT. It has the sync 3 nav system in it. Everything seems to work on it except it will not answer calls. I've tried updating the software, soft reset, master reset, re pairing my phone and nothing seems to help. I also can not find anyone else with this issue. When I get a call, it shows on the screen, gives me the answer call prompt but then instantly goes to missed call when I push the answer button on the screen or on the wheel. The phone keeps ringing. It doesn't hang up it just never answers the call in the first place. I can make outgoing calls without an issue. I just can't receive them. Anyone have any ideas? Truck is still under 3/36 warranty until January so if the sync unit is messed up I'd like to get it replaced if needed but the less time at the ford dealer the better.
Phone is connected using bluetooth. As far as I know it's not an android auto issue. I do not have android auto installed on my phone as far as I know. Do not disturb is not selected, phone is not in airplane mode, it is set for media and phone in the phone bluetooth settings, I do have it set to not allow messages but that shouldn't effect answering phone calls. I've seen posts and videos where people just change the ring tone to use phone ringtone but that is not an option on my sync. I have 3 ring tones or no tone but that's it. Any help would be appreciated.

Oh, and I do have the hotspot disabled. Not sure if that would make a difference. Also my phone worked just fine with the Sync system in my 2016 fusion that I traded so I doubt it's the phone itself.

You didn’t list the Sync 3 version it’s currently running so I’ll assume it needs and update (what do you mean tried to update it, was that successful update or you attempted and it failed?), so that’s my advice. Update Sync to the latest version.
Then, unpair your phone from Sync, master reset Sync, ensure the truck is removed/deleted from saved Bluetooth connections on your phone.
Disconnect truck battery for 15 minutes.
Re-pair everything and try a phone call.

I'm not sure what version I'm on. I'll find out. I did the update 2 days ago.
It said it was complete. Never got the xml file on the usb stick to upload to ford but from what i've read that is common. It was a major update though. Changed the way the interface looks entirely.

Tried as suggested. No change.
