C'mon people. 220+ views and not one response.

I really need to know what your Sync build number is. I am trying to verify that what my dealer told is true. That they updated my Sync3 with a newer build.

Please someone take a pic or write it down next time you are in your truck and please let me know.

Thank you.

Simply go to owner.ford.com, sign in, click on Support, and pick Sync Software Updates. On the right it will show you the update history, you'll have to click on it.

If you properly connected your 2018 to your home WiFi network, it will update Sync automatically WHEN there is an update.

Note that my car was made on July 30th, and shows an update to 3.0 on August 15th. It also shows 3.0 available.

A Google search will show you that 18093 is the current build.

This is clearly not a feature that works hardly at all. Mine is connected just fine to WiFi while in the driveway, Ford pass app confirms this. Still on 2.3 as of yesterday. I made an attempt to do the update via USB a couple weeks back and it didn't do squat with the unzipped usb that sat in the center connector for 4 days before I have up. I'm going to try again this weekend and see. Maybe the update I downloaded wantwa good. It didn't unzip itself like the directions seem to say it will.

You have to unzip the file yourself on the PC, then copy the files over to your USB drive. The vehicle must be running, then you plug in the USB drive. The drive needs to be formatted to FAT32, not exFAT or NTFS.

Thank you everyone for responding.

Makes me wonder about what my dealer service department did when saying they have other versions of the software. Why would it not show a different build #?

Mine's 18093 as well. Anyone else not able to confirm their last update on the Ford Owner website though? Still says mine was last updated at the factory, haha.

It won't confirm the updates right now, apparently they're having web site issues. I called Ford support and was told they're working on it, try again later...
