Sync 3 Blank Clock
That makes perfect sense. I was hoping someone might have some insight as to what APIM setting could be tweaked utilizing Forscan to get the clock to display for more than a few seconds.
After all, the infotainment unit not an integral an integral system. 99% functional might have to do. I have gotten in the habit of just tapping on where the time should be displayed to see what time it is.
Still strikes me as odd that when entering the clock setting interface it shows the correct time; however, the home screen (and any other interface panels) show --:--.
Well, certain things in life are not worth losing sleep over. If anyone does happen to have pinpointed solutions, please share

Find a similarly equipped 2016-17 F150 to yours on eBay, get the VIN, plug that into the Motocraft AsBuilt lookup, and overwrite the entire APIM with that data as a baseline. Adjust as necessary to get everything correct, using the spreadsheet stickied in this subforum.
There is no magic setting that someone is going to be able to give you; you need to do some leg work here to get it functioning correctly. Otherwise, I know there are several people who would probably build you an AsBuilt file for some $.
Great advice from all!
I'll report back as soon as I have a chance to load an as built from a similar built VIN and do the various apparently necessary fiddling with values.

I don't know what exactly the setting was; however, using as-built values from a 16 F150 (for APIM settings) did the trick!
Of course, some other nonsense is going on now, but I am confident that I will eventually be able to muddle through it
