When do orders open up for the 2016s? I want the first lariat.

 

I love how in the standard features for the limited it says "Chrome" "yes". I never realized that chrome was fancy

Edit: I will admit that grill is kinda snazzy

 

Can't say I care for the interior...
Unless I misread, it sounds like this won't be limited (get it?) in offroad setup like the previous generation.
No 10-speed or hopped-up 3.5.

 

I like the 22' rims for a change! Cant say I like the limited lettering on the hood that would come off the day it came home.

So FORD is saying there will No Platinum level F150? the top level is the Limited now??

 

Limited is above Platinum. Starts around $60k supposedly.

Sucks how us 15 owners shelled a pretty penny for our trucks only to get left behind in a matter of months with an all new 16 model.

Exactly this. I knew the 2016 would have Sync3 before I bought my 2015 Lariat just yesterday. I stressed about this very choice for several weeks before I had this same thought about waiting too long. In the end I'm very happy. My 2015 will be a lower MSRP, I had better incentives, and my trade in was too close to 100K miles to wait. I got a much better deal now than I could ever come close to by this time next year when I could finally get ahold of a similiarly equipped truck through special order. So many delays and cancelled trucks, people waiting months and months, and I just searched and found one exact.

Look at it this way, you won't have to deal with constant software updates with the outgoing Sync with MyFord Touch. It will stay static and stable.

You will really hate yourself if you wait for the perfect 2016 and then the better transmission comes out a year later, which it will. Ford has gone on record on video that it plans a new major upgrade to the F150 each and every year.
