Hi guys, for years I've been trying to figure out which truck to replace my 2000 Silverado with and I finally decided on the F150. Awesome truck just have a couple questions before I order. I've read different things all over the internet from different sources so I'm completely lost. Will the 10 speed auto and SYNC 3 most likely be out by the end of 2015 (In the early 2016 models)? If so I'll wait. I'm going to be stuck with this truck for 15+ years so I don't want any regrets. I know these are hard questions to answer without Ford saying a definitive answer but I'm just curious if there is any hard evidence out there.

I'd probably pass on waiting for the 10speed transmission. A lot of times the first year has a few bugs to work out.

Other than that, buy what you want.

 

Highly unlikely you will see either before 2017

 

I work at a dealer but I haven't heard anything on the transmission as of yet. However, we were told that Sync 3 will be in the 2016 models.

 

2016 as in say ordering opens up in October 2015 I could get it then or do you mean half way through the 2016 year? Thanks for the info!

Ok, I did some digging but I don't have anything tangible that I can show you at the moment. From what we "have been told" the Sync 3 is 2016 and the 10 speed is 2017. If I happen to see any dealer communications from Ford I will update you as soon as possible.
