Switching sides!
Been a chevy guy my whole life. I signed the papers today for a new XLT 4x4 supercrew blue jean colour.
I feel like I am having an identity crisis!
Can I still be an Earnhardt fan? Lol! I'm so confused!

I'll never understand brand loyalties.
I'll shop all available products, then decide which fits my lifestyle best. There are functional components, esthetics components and then biases will play a part in it. (I'm not naive to think I'm without bias.).
It sounds as if this is what you did. Congrats! You've made a well educated decision as a consumer, and had to overcome some bias to get there.
You're going to love the truck!

I know what you mean. I bought my first Ford 4 years ago. I felt like 10 years after Dale Sr's death was long enough to wait. I shopped all brands this time and bought another Ford. The Chevy vs Ford thing just doesn't mean much to me anymore.

I fought it, went back to the chev dealer 3 times before making my mind up. I even went as far as taking the chev fir a test drive over to the ford dealer so I could have a side by side comparison!
The ford fits my wife and three kids better, no hump on the floor in the back seat was huge for the kids. I like how the ford sits higher, I like the innovations with regards to estimated fuel usage. I didn't go with either of the turbo engines, from my research i determined that it's either "Eco" or "boost" and if you drive a little heavy the turbo will destroy your gas mileage...right or wrong, that's my theory and I'm sticking to it! Lol.
Now what do I do with my chevy hats, shirts, and belt buckles!

I know what you mean I use to be a ( I hate to admit this ) a Dodge guy, I was loyal to them leasing 2 and financing the third. the third gave me major issues and when it came time for Dodge to do the right thing well lets just say I saw where there loyalty was and it wasn't directed to me. Ive owned my present Ford since new in 07 and haven't looked back. I haven't had any major issues and the problems I had Ford was quick to respond with no questions asked. As for your clothing quandary, burn them LOL only kidding just toss them out lol Welcome to the family

I understand JJBAIN. I really like the Chevy/GMC trucks however I've owned an '04 F150 since I purchased it new, and I really can't see myself in anything else. The innovations/features in the 2015 certainly sealed the deal for me.
Sure you can still be a Earnhardt fan. I have a 2015 supercrew ordered and still have my Dale Sr. race tire and wheel on display in the basement bar room.
