Thought I remember reading here somewhere that there are 21 or 22 maps available. Went to the nav update section of the ford owner section and it said I had an update available. Downloaded it, installed it wasting almost 2 hours and am still at 2020. Better still is the auto update is trying to download something. Pretty sure it's a nav file that took 3 days last time over wifi. Is this a nav file?
That’s one of three nav voice files. It is a version behind. The current file ends with CAK. The other two end in CBK and CCK. The file you’re downloading is about 1.3 GB of data, so it’s gonna be slow. Visit the upgrade sync 3 to sync 3.4 upgrade thread for the latest files.
I’ve never had success installing an update to the Sync3 system via WiFi. Takes forever and never seems to complete. Have you tried downloading the update onto a thumb drive from the Ford website and uploading it that way? Just pop it in one of the USB ports and go for a drive while it’s uploading.
