I have a 2017 when i got my front windows tinted and wanted a visor tint added also. The local window tinting guy/place. Showed me the tint on the windshield. And it looked stupid the tint guy said it was the curve of the windshield. I wanted to stay legal and cant go below the arrow marks on the windshield. when he put it on those marks. it was way high in the middle. And vise versa when he tried to bring it down in the center. I hope i explained my problem .

Ive searched but i admit my puter skills are lacking. Im guessing 15 thru 17 have the same windshields. So surly someone has this figured out .

If you have and have some pics and details. Or a link. I sure would be thankful.

The guy that did mine, did it that way also. Too the lines on the sides and bowed high in the center. In Texas has to be at the lines and or no greater than 5 inches.

Mine is straight across, granted they did go below the line by maybe an inch or two on the ends but it looks good never had any cops ask me about it even when pulled over for my front windows being too dark.

That looks good Albe22. Wonder how they did it. Mine looked nothing like that at all.

Our old expedition was that way. Then one day 2 years later the inspection shop got a new inspector and failed us. I asked if he had a razor blade and preceded to trim the minute portion off that went over the lines. He passed the vehicle!

Mine is straight also. Find a shop that with a plotter that computer cuts the tint and it'll be straight. Your shop just laid a strip of tint over the glass and hand cut it...they all come out curved when it's done like that.

I tried to have the visor tinted on mine and I told them I wanted it road legal. When I showed up it was clearly 2 to 3 inches below the line and I argued with them on what was considered legal. They tried to say that was how the computer plotted it and that no one has issues with law enforcement pulling them over. I ended up giving up on it. Took the windex out, peeled it, and cleaned it up. It just looked off and I didn't want to deal with some cop pulling me over for something that cost 40 bucks to put on.

So i guess unless you find a shop that can hand cut it right or with a correct plot you might have trouble getting it right.

Yeah i'm not going to fool with the law. And getting a inspection sticker. I want it legal. I don't blame you one bit.
