Default Suggestions for additional backup light.

I have a 2016 Lariat with the BLIS taillights. The backup lights are just not bright enough, and are not upgradable. Any suggestion as to a small LED that I can mount on the back and wire into the backup light circuit that will give me better light. I was hoping to not have to do a relay for this, but will if that is the only way to add better light.

Thanks

Mike

I use a light that plugs into your 7 point plug. It works great, have used them for years. Blazer backup light.
Plug and play and cheap.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I am looking for one that comes on when I shift into reverse, and a bit more permanent.

Those do come on when you shift into reverse. They use the trailer plug for that purpose.

Check out Rigid Industries. They're a bit pricier than some other brands out there but are very high quality. A couple of the cubes would work great for what you're wanting.

I have a pair of LED spotlight pods riveted to my hitch. They're wired to turn on with reverse and throw quite a bit of light. $20 for the pair on Amazon.

I installed $15 7 inch led bars from Ebay on my hitch with zip ties & just tapped into the reverse lights on the hitch wiring.
I put a Vinyl wrap over the lights that change from Blue/Green/Purple depending on the angle.

I ended up ordering these from Rigid. I think these will work great, and look good in the bumper. Now I need to figure out how to have time to install them. I have LED's for the high, low, fog and now backup. All of them need to be installed as well as doing the Fluid Film Application.
