Hey all, just picked up 2016 last week, just looking to get a few ideas on what customizations to look into. Thanks for any ideas.

Pretty broad question to be asking a bunch of strangers with different backgrounds, geographic locations and wants / needs. Perhaps you can narrow it a bit. What's the truck for? What kind of terrain will it be on? Will you be hauling or towing? Do you have a budget? You can probably answer your own question by simply browsing around.

For me, I needed a tonneau cover right out of the gates. Anything else was simply a nice to have.

Some basics - Floor protection, wheel well liners, mud guards, tonneau cover, tailgate damper kit

I agree on most of that. I don't know about the tonneau cover. Not everyone likes or wants one. I do, but some people might not. As for the tailgate damper kit, I've never even heard of that.

Rampage, check this glorious thread out for some inspiration. There are some pretty basic and pretty intricate things being done. Great read!

The bedliner is an absolute must. I can't understand why someone would buy a truck that costs upwards of $60,000 and not pay $600 to spray a bedliner into the thing and protect it. There are even a few cheaper options like the Bedrug and drop in plastic bed liners out there as well.

Was thinking of doing the bushwacker fender flares in the same color as the stripe, just not sure how they will look with stock wheels and tires

Putting bushwackers on stock rims and tires (that dont even sit flush with the fenders anyway) would look atrocious. You would need some aftermarket wheels and tires to stick out as far as your bushwackers do to make it look half decent.

Like really?
