Thanks for the link. If they plan on holding my truck to keep the mileage correct, they better be providing me a loaner.

Did you get the Ford extended warranty? I think with that a free loaner is always provided, but if not then it depends on your dealer.

Maybe it's just because I lurk around the forums a lot and always read about the issues, but the more I read the more I'm glad I have it.

I took it in a few weeks ago for a few minor things I wanted looked at. Ford pulled up my profile and immediately offered me a loaner for a couple hours while they had it in. They said without the extended warranty I'd have to wait around or have someone come get me.

I did get an extended warranty as well.

I don't see how they could not give a loaner for a known issue. I got 2 kids and a wife that works. I got kids to pickup from daycare, etc. I would not be happy.

I agree - our Mazda doesn't have an extended warranty and the dealer has always been good with free loaners.

One time I tried to reschedule an oil change because my toddler was sick and it was very cold / snowy out. They offered me a free CX-9 loaner and even had the car warmed up and waiting for me inside so I could transfer her easily and out of the weather. I have the feeling Ford would never do something like that.

You should ask @Clusters by Livnitup - he's probably disassembled more clusters than the Ford engineers!
