Storm damage..
The insurance is entitled to it if they want it, they are the ones paying for the replacement. You are entitled to it if you're paying out of pocket.
I would pay out of pocket for the one you found. You'd probably be able to sell the dented one to contractor or landscaper that either destroyed theirs or it got stolen to recoup some of the cost of the new one.
Everything shows on the CLUE report. Everything, even if you file a claim and it pays nothing, we can see it. I see glass claims on CLUE reports everyday. Of course, unless you're getting 5 or more new windshields per year, we don't even consider them. If you're consistently filing comprehensive, windshield, or not at-fault claims, we will take notice due to the trend. The reason we look for these types of trends is they typically are a red flag for insurance fraud. Rarely are there cases where you're the most unlucky person on the planet, but it happens.[/QUOTE]
Clearly you have never lived or worked near Freeport Tx or drove down Hwy 332 from clute to surfside. I had 8 glass claims in a 2 month period. from that section of hwy alone. 2 windshields 6 repairs.
