Stop Splash Screen
Does anyone know how to stop the splash screen from coming on when the truck is off and no key is in the ignition? My truck is in dark mode but the splash screen will come on every time the driver or passenger opens their door when the truck is off and no key is in the ignition. No other light inside or outside of the truck does this.
As far as I know there is no way to turn that off. When a door is opened the APIM powers up in anticipation of engine start. This is how it can connect with your phone instantly when you start the engine, the boot up procedure starts before you start the engine.
Disable the splash screen:
IPC 720-07-01 xxxx xxxx *x-- use 2
I also did this in "easy mode":
APIM module, Splash screen, changed from F-150 Anniversary to None (then reset APIM)
Still get the a splash screen on the instrument cluster during start and shutdown, and on the center console during shutdown (the blue oval), but there isn't one on startup.

Background:
It always bothered me that the screen would illuminate every time I opened the door, especially when I first programmed dark mode. I spent hours trying to figure it out and eventually gave up. Recently I installed a 300w amp and upgraded the door and tweeters to some infinity components. I ordered a harness extension/ adapter and tapped into the high level speaker wires to send an audio signal to the amp. The amp that I installed has an "auto sensing function" on High/ speaker level which can not be disabled. (Unless you convert the signal to low level, which I trying to avoid for the sake of simplicity).
So every time I would open the door the modules would wake causing the "center screen the illuminate" and the radio to send enough signal to the amp causing it to cycle on, which bothered me- As far as I'm concerned the amp shouldn't cycle on and off any time that I opened the door.
I believe my solution is related to a combination of forscan mods and the specifics of my model f150. I found that when I unplugged the electrical connector to the door latch the modules would not wake upon entry, so no illuminated screen, no amp receiving signal from radio, etc.
I understand that some F150s need the door latch electrical signal while exiting the vehicle (turn on dome lights, warning chimes/ safety features, power point exiting) however, the way in which my F150 is setup it works for me.
-Truck is off-When i open the door nothing happens, (I can press dome light, cargo lamp, hazards, head light switches all function without key)
- Truck is off and key out of ignition- I can press radio button and it takes a few seconds to boot- blue ford screen, press again and radio comes on (amp receives signal)
- Truck is off- While radio is playing Press radio button again-radio turns off, followed by power point/ cig lighter, then silent speaker signal/ amp turning off a few seconds later.
-When the vehicle is running and I turn the key "off" to accessory or on, the radio stays on, but engine stops
-When I turn the key to off the radio turns off. (When stock it would play until I opened the door- I believe that is related to forscan reprograming of power point turning off after 1 second and or power point feature settings).
Vehicle:
2016 F150 Xl 4x4 (basic small screen in center dash- no nav/ touch screen stereo)
Forscan mods likely related to solution:
Dark mode enabled
All chimes off ( Forscan Chimes sent to instrument cluster- Remove chiming speaker from cluster) no chimes at all including key in ignition, lights on, door open, door open when in drive, seat belt, turn signal, low fuel, warning etc. I call it silent mode.
Power point timeout set to 1 second.
I hope some of this info may be helpful feel free to ask any questions. Accessing the door latch electrical connector is quiet simple, while you're at it upgrade your speakers- Stock ones are junk.
@PsychoSurfer I have my power point setting to 1 second, and my radio stays on until the door is opened.

You do get the door adjar light and dash warnings including transmission not in Park. If you delete all chimes it may work for you.
