Default Stereo Question Crossover

Is there a crossover between the A-pillar tweeter and the front door speakers? If so where is it?

This is just a guess, but I would assume for non sony its built in behind the screen and for sony its built into the dsp on the sub.

If I were to guess all of the crossover stuff is built into the factory amp. Which means they have dedicated wires coming off the amp for each speaker instead of a crossover in the doors then splitting to the woofer and tweeter

Not. Both run of the same wire. There is a resistor build into the line to the tweeter. You can acess it by pulling off the panel on the side od the dash.

good to know, I may run 6.5 components in the front instead of 6x9.

I have a 2015 XLT Supercrew with non-Sony mytouch w/8" screen. The tweeter appears to have a capacitor or similar attached to it. Is this a high-pass filter? I haven't been able to find anything inline in its wiring on the side of the dash.
