Steering / handling
Longtime GM truck driver, got a relatively new 2018 F150 yesterday, good mileage great power great acceleration good ride, but still drives a l like a Ford......does not hold the road like a GM. Any modifications that can help?

The single best handling mod that I've done so far is the addition of a Hellwig rear anti-sway bar.
I have it currently set on the softest setting and it still made a very nice change in the handling
characteristics of this truck.
I've taken the truck back and forth between Colorado and Washington state a few times and there are quite a few
curvy areas in between. Prior to adding the sway bar, I would really have to slow down in those areas. But, after
adding the sway bar, I was able to keep a higher speed and it didn't feel like the truck was going to tip over. I just
felt more in control.
Overall it was definitely worth the money.

Use forscan and turn off the pull drift compensation. A few of us have done it and the truck drives better. You dont constantly fight the truck. Ford has writeups and a video on it, that and nibble control. I left the nibble control on for now. I bought a hellwig but then upgraded my suspension and i took it off and it drives great.

You'll hear this a lot - including from me who is a recent convert from stock FX4 rear shocks to Bilstein 5100's. They seriously shore up the ride. I only did the rear and noticed a huge improvement, so when I find a sweet deal on the fronts (like I did on the rears), I'm pulling the trigger. The masses don't lie! It's a HUGE improvement!

I've never heard about this. I've never felt that I was "fighting the truck"...what's the deal with it? Is it a "higher than XLT trim" thing...? Is it the "Lane Keep Assist"? I don't have it on mine. Personally I've always felt that the steering on these was pretty spot on and very easy to control. I'm not a fan of the whole electronically controlled steering thing, but so far I'm ok with how the truck handles.

Here are links to few threads addressing the problem some find (including me ) with the electrically assisted power steering. There are many more if you care to search. Ford is aware of the issue as an SSM is issued that has been updated a few times but with no solution so far.
