Rockauto Motorcraft is only ~$230 so I would definitely not buy from O'Reilly for the same or more...

Replacing the solenoid (or a partial rebuild) from a starter/alternator shop sounds like a promising alternative though!

 

So my local starter/alternator shop said there was nothing in the computer for something this new, and I didn't want to wait for RockAuto so I bit the bullet and went with the one from O'Reilly's, hopefully get it installed tomorrow if its not too cold on my driveway with my north facing house.
