Default Start Up Chime

When I start up my truck (2020 Platinum) I hear the doo Doo doo chime come through both the speakers AND faintly through the IPC.

Just curious if this is normal? Should the chime be coming through both, or just one or the other?

I thought it was supposed to just be coming through the speakers, unless there was a fault, in which case it would come through the IPC.

it is not updated. I’m downloading the latest update now. Can sync 3 being out of date cause that issue?

I’ve had this randomly happen. 🤷‍♂️

Should come through the speakers, though. I don’t think a Sync update will help. You can disable the chime via FORScan.

Seems a few years back something goofy like that happened. My wifi updates sometimes are sketchy, I always check before longer trips and download anything to a thumb drive and away I go. Good luck, keep us posted.

Thanks. I’m getting the updates installed so I’ll see if that makes any difference and report back.

You have had it randomly happen where it will come out of the speakers and the IPC at the same time? Or just where it comes out of the IPC and not the speakers?

One or the other…or both. Seems to happen mostly when I flash a new tune. But it’s happened randomly too.
