Default Start/stop

2020 lariat 5.0. ..I hate the start/stop option turning my engine on and off at stop lights. When I disable on dash it comes back quickly. I’ve pulled the battery maintenance plug near the battery which works. Is there a programming/setting that can cancel the annoying feature without disabling associated benefits of the battery maintenance clip? Thanks

Nope. Gotta buy a start\stop eliminator kit on eBay or Amazon as far as I know.
100 bucks or so.
I just got into the habit of turning it off at the switch every time I start the truck

You can use forscan to disable it however when I tried, it also disabled the drive modes which I saw some other people run into the same issue. I am not sure if you can code it out w/o losing the drive modes. I ended up just putting in a start/stop eliminator years ago.

You can select Tow/Haul mode and it will disable the S/S. Works on my '18 and your '20 is same gen truck.

The dash button should also disable S/S as long you're driving, but once you turn the ignition off, you have to reselect it.

Not a big deal and it becomes automatic after a few days.

A-S-S can be inhibited without any mods by using a $4, Trailer Test Plug in the trailer connector back at the Bumper.
Only thing lost is the "guide lines" from the Backup display if you can accept that.
It's all the same action as would be if a Trailer were hooked up and plugged in.
A-S-S is not used for Towing.
Good luck.

^^This. You can pull that third plug on the bottom by the brake pedal.
