Question Squeaky rear end

My 2020 has an annoying suspension sqeak in the back. Only going slow on bumpy driveway or road.

In the good ole days, the mechanic always lubed the chassis - is that even an option now with poly bushings and other new designs?

Thoughts?

Spray some lube on the leaf spring isolator pads between the leaf springs. Also spray some on the bushings for the rear shock. Both the upper and lower bushings.

What lube would you use for this?

More info in the giant leaf spring isolator thread and what people have used and have had luck with.

Never use the words “lube” and “chassis” in the same sentence. This has Beavis and Butthead written all over it. 😂

I’d replace the leaf spring isolator pads with the Ford black pads. I would not use lube as it will attract dirt, hence the isolator pads.

i also wouldn’t use a polyurethane pad as that will also squeak.

Thank you, guys! I will get my mechanic on it ASAP !

PS - I had similar issue with my tacoma . Added rubber shims, grease, etc. ened up just living with the squeak.

Hello! Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to see how I can assist you with this squeaking concern.

Mine also squeaks in similar situations. I think it's the leaf springs.
