F150 Fam,

Experiencing a problem I can hopefully get help with. Once I go over 20 mph in reverse, sport mode cuts out. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Hoping this doesn't end in another recall...

 

It is probably a safety feature, specific to Georgia, that prevents driving in reverse in Sport mode greater than 20 mph. Just saying.....
Also, I subscribed to see how many people actually drive greater than 20 mph in reverse.

 

 

This very sounds like an obvious manufacturer defect. Can't believe we're experiencing this is a $69K MSRP truck. sad!

I've been leaving the parking brake on. I was told by a guy in a Honda that leaving the brake on keeps the tires from spinning too early and gives me max acceleration. Can't believe Ford hasn't fixed this problem, might switch to Chevy soon because of this!!!

 

 

Not going to the dealer. If I pay $69K for a truck I expect it to have no issues. Might switch over to a Chevy Squirter!

 

I have found to keep SR mode active, you need to have your reverse camera zoomed in, and fold in your mirrors. If you dont fold in the mirrors they can fold backwards and break. Ford put this safety feature on the trucks to prevent stupid people from ripping off their mirrors when having to reverse above 25mph.

The parking brake thing is a wives tale. Its just for honda guys that can't handle reversing faster than 40 mph.

I wouldnt switch to a chebby, those front grills explode at speed and the only replacement ones are even uglier than the OEM grills.....Oh and the tailgates collapse now to because chebby is now using inferior aluminum tailgates. You know that crappy aluminum that tear's if you drop a sharp feather on it.
