Angry Splash Aprons

I bought a new 2018 F150 XL with 2.7L. Noticed it didn't have splash aprons installed. A friend of mine also bought one but with the 3.0L. And it didn't have the splash aprons. Some may wonder what is a splash apron. It is located in the front two fender wells to prevent road debris from getting into the engine compartment. I ask the dealer to look over the build list for my truck and it wasn't included. I also look on the lot at different trucks and some had them an other did not. Has anyone asked why for skimped on this part for their truck?

This has been covered in other threads and posts. there seems to be no rhyme or reason why some trucks get them and some don't. Just sayin'
