Default Deleting Auto Stop/Start

I found a cleaner way to delete Auto Stop-Start. Initially I had it deleted primarily by Forscan but then ive read this has some side effects because it turns off your battery monitoring system. Jumpering the switch sucks because the light on the switch and it says *** disabled by switch on the dash.

So, I did a little bit of both methods. First, you want to go buy the dash switch that goes into the 5.0 with just the large single bar for the flashers. Find the black striped and white wire and jumper them. I took a paper clip and put electrical tape on it. Work the ignition to see if you get the Auto Stop/Start disabled by switch on the dash.....Then, fire up Forscan....dont touch the BMS settings for Auto Stop/Start and leave the switch enabled because the switch is what disables it. But just disable the dash message in the IPC. Then thats it. Cleanly deleted, no lights...messages on the dash And the BMS still works so the alternator isnt running 100% all the time and its just like if you hit the button everytime you turned on the truck. And the switch and to do all this will not cost you much.

Default Auto Stop Eliminator.

Auto Stop Eliminator - Best $100. Turns the button into an actual on/off and really was easy to install.

Wow. Talk about a necropost. I bet the OP has done whatever he planned to in the past 10 months.

Great idea. I can't see how the auto start doesn't damage the starter and engine.

The Auto Start doesn't give the engine time to get oil circulating before you take off and hundreds of thousands of starts on a starter surely can't be good.
